I get a lot of questions about my equipment, below is a picture of what's typically in my camera bag. Below that is a list of all the equipment I use.
My workhorse camera, recently upgraded from a D7000, and I love it! The autofocus is accurate and focuses to -3EV. I don't shoot too often in low light, but the shots are clean all the way to ISO 8000. My only problem with it is that the flash sync speed is 1/200, rather than 1/250 on cameras like the D810 and D4/5.
GoPro Hero 4 Silver
This is the camera I take biking because its tiny and durable. Not very many pictures are on here from my GoPro, but it's used pretty often for my travels. You can see them on my instagram (instagram.com/toddthetoad) or my vsco feed (toddthetoad.vsco.co). The screen on the back is especially handy, I wouldn't use this camera as often if it didn't have it. Obviously, it's designed as a video camera first and foremost but I mostly use it as a wide angle still camera.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
My phone, not used for clients, but most photos from my instagram are taken with this. Editing is done in VSCOcam or Lightroom Mobile.
Sigma Art 35mm 1.4
Love this lens; it's sharp at 1.4 and stupidly sharp when stopped down. It's so sharp I often leave it at 1.4. It's a great combination with the D750's incredible autofocus. Replaced my old Nikon 35mm 1.8DX, and it's a huge upgrade. It's a great lens for getting up close, and this lens is on my camera the most often. The bad: it's big and heavy for a prime lens.
Nikon 85mm 1.8 AF-S
I use this lens when I want more compression. It's a great lens, though it has quite a bit of chromatic aberration when wide open. Still, it's a great lens and the autofocus is surprisingly fast. The
